Why It’s named “Panch Phorn”?
Panch means Five (5) in Oriya and Bengali language. Phoron means tempering. So it means a five-spice mix uses in a recipe as tempering at the first step of the recipe is called Panch Phoron.

Oh ..it’s so easy to make. Just you need five whole spices. Mix them all together and BOOm…the Bengali five spice “Panch Phoron” is ready to use. - 1 Tsp Full Onion Seed/Nigella Seed/Kalonji/magrel
- 1 Tsp full Black mustard seeds
- 1 Tsp Full Fennel seeds
- 1 Tsp Full Cumin seeds
- 1 Tsp Full Fenugreek seeds whole
