WHICH NOODLES ARE TO USE FOR THIS DELICIOUS CHICKEN CHOW MEIN RECIPE RESTAURANT STYLE?
White Wheat flour noodles and egg noodles are the typical types of noodles that usually use to make Chow Mein.
Don’t be confused, if you find different brands of noodles in the supermarket. some noodles names are so common in most of the supermarkets. Like “Ramen noodles”, Lo Mein noodles“, “Chow Mein noodles“ and “Korean Yakisoba”. Some of also named like “Egg Noodles”, “Cantonese Style Egg Noodles” “Veg noddles with Chinese spices”.

Chinese chow mein noodles usually made with rice flour and wheat flour, or with mung bean starch flour or sometimes with any kind of starchy flour kind of thing.
“Lo mein” and “Chow mein” both are popular Chinese noodles. But the main difference between both is different methods are used to make these Chinese stir-fry noodles. More authentic “Chinese chow mein“ noodles are fried in high flame to get crispness and non-sticky texture, while “Chinese lo mein” noodles are boiled more to get more softness texture.

When I go to Chinese food restaurants my taste journey never ends without a plate of chicken chow mein. It is always one of the first things I order at a Chinese restaurant. But this is the noodle dish which you would not get right in the most of the Chinese restaurants.
But I believe my restaurant style chicken chow mein recipe is so easy and wonderful in taste,.which is taste almost similar to what’s usually served in authentic Chinese restaurants across the country.
Today I am making this recipe with chicken. Not Because of Chicken Chow Mein is one of my all-time favourite stir-fried noodle dishes.
But also chicken chow mein is most popular in almost every Chinese restaurants across the country.
HOW DO I MAKE CHICKEN CHOW MEIN RECIPE EASY AND SO SIMPLE WAY?
Chicken Chow Mein Noodles is the easiest and popular One meal dish for everyone on weeknights. Actually, there have no particular ingredients in Chinese chow mein recipe, hence you can increase the flavour of this chow mein dish by adding some of the spices or veggies of your choice. This is my way to make Chinese restaurant quality recipe which comes together in 25 to 30 m minutes, so you can easily skip your takeout.
My chicken chow mein recipe restaurant style Noodles is just a simplified version of a popular Chicken Chow Mein noodle recipe which loaded with delicious chicken, veggies of your choice. And the noodles coated in a tasty restaurant style Chow Mein sauce.
Preparation is very important when you are making this kind of tasty noodle dish. Make sure everything is ready before you start cooking the dish.
Meaning of this is your chicken needs to be cut up in slick Julians or in small cubes, veggies for this dish should be cut in long Julians or in small cubes as the same as chicken pieces. So that it looks good and beautiful. And also cut the scallions in sliced lengthwise or chopped as I did. In my dish, I also used garlic chives which you can use too. Its added an extra garlic flavour to the dish. In my noodle dish, I only use two colours of bell peppers and green capsicums for veggies. But you can use any veggies of your choice like carrots, cabbage, bok choy, mushrooms etc.

- 2 Packets of Chow mein Noodles
- 200 Grams Chicken Julienne
- 1/2 Cup Red Bell pepper Julienne
- 1/2 Cup Yellow Bell pepper Julienne
- 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum Julienne
- 4 Tbsp Any vegetable oil/Olive oil EVEN YOU CAN USE LESS OIL IN THIS RECIPE
- 2 Tsp Lite soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 Tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 Tsp Sweet Paprika powder
- 2 Tsp Finely chopped ginger
- 4 Tsp Finely chopped Garlic
- 1 Tsp Suger
- 1 and 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp oyster soy sauce
- 2 Tsp Finely chopped garlic chives
- 2 Tsp Finely chopped scallions
- 6 Cups of Water

- Take a Big Soup Pot.
- Boil 6 cups of Water with 1 Tsp oil In to it.
- Open the Noodles from the packet and put in the hot boiling water.
- Boil the water for 5 minutes then remove the noodles from the hot boiling water and wash with cool water. So that it doesn't stick with each other extra starch will be gone. Keed the noodles aside cooler down.
- Now take a frying pan.
- Make the pan heat enough and the put 4 Tbsp oil in it.
- Now make the oil hot too.
- At first put chicken Juliennece to the hot flame and fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes invery high flame.
- After 3-4 minutes add chopped ginger and garlic to the pan and fry for 2 minutes in high flame.
- Now add all the veggis ,sauces and the spicess in to the pan and fry for maximum 3-4 minutes in high flame.
- Just after the time very quickly add noodles to the frying pan and mix all the ingredients properly with sauces and spices.
- Once all the noodles coated with sauces and spices very well turn off the flame and remove it to a serving plate.
- Decorated the dish with some chopped scallions from the top.
- Serve the dish Hot and enjoy with your friends and families.
TIPS
Always sear the meat pieces before cooking. serve the dish hot otherwise, it will not taste good.
