Ingredients
  • 500Grms Free Range Chicken /country chicken
  • 1Large Onion chopped
  • 1Large Tomato chopped
  • 1-2Numbers Green chillies, crushed(Deseeded)
  • 1Tsp Ginger root, paste(crushed)
  • 1Tsp Garlic cloves, paste (crushed)
  • 1Tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1Small Bay leaf
  • 1Whole Dry red chilli
  • 1Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2Tblp Mustard Oil
  • 1Pinch Sugar
  • 1Cup Water
Instructions
  1. Heat the pan first then put oil on it, when it is hot enough, add chicken pieces to sear it.
  2. Then add bay leaf, dry red chilli whole, chopped onion, tomatoes chopped and salt and fry them all until they turn golden brown in colour.
  3. Then add garlic paste, crushed green chillies, ginger root paste and sauté it for 2 minutes till the raw flavours less or gone. Add turmeric, red chilli powder and garam masala and the chicken pieces. Mixed them well and Saute the chicken pieces well with the spices for another 5 minutes. Then cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the lid and add 1 cup water then again cover it and cook the chicken for at least 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
  4. While the chicken is cooked properly, the dish is ready to serve.
Recipe Notes

Tips

Garam masala powder for this chicken curry-1 pod green cardamom, 3 cloves, 2-inch thin cinnamon stick all grinds well in a grinder. Now your garam masala is ready to use

Always sear the chicken first, so as a result, it can be juicier from inside after it’s cooked
